After talking with the breeder and preparing for weeks, the day had finally come to go pick my new puppy up from the airport. Seeing her for the first time, she was scared, but mostly dazed. As expected, she had made a big mess of herself and kennel. Putting the crate in the back of my car, I opened the door and set her on the ground. When she began to jump and bark with joy at being freed from the crate, like a little firecracker full of spunk. My heart had been set on the name Scarlet and with her delecate beauty and fire personality, I knew the name was a fit. This was the begining of the journey, one that I wish to share my experiences and thoughts on as I learn to live with animal and earn the right to call Scarlet mine.
